Location |
The villa complex is situated on a wooded hill approx. 1 mile (2 km)
from the small town of Calcinaia (pop. 8000) and half a mile from
the Arno river. Only 15 miles (23 km) from Pisa and numerous
characteristic towns and villages famous
for their wines, olive oils and gourmet food - all within a radius of 10 miles.
Lucca is also a pleasant 30 minute drive away, as are two of Tuscany's
great
golf courses (one in the Tuscan hills and the other at the sea).
In winter the ski slopes are just 50 minutes from Montecchio, and if
horses are your passion then there are many wonderful rides in
the countryside around the property. |
